Helm's stock analyses reflect live market dynamics. Cached analyses refresh every 30 minutes during US market hours (9:30am–4:00pm ET, Mon–Fri), and every 24 hours off-hours. Every analysis page displays a visible "last updated" timestamp and a collapsible methodology disclosure showing data sources and pipeline version. This is YMYL content — provenance is never hidden.

## How analyses are generated

Live market data (price, fundamentals, analyst consensus, recent news, earnings history) is pulled from Finnhub and passed to OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini with a specialized equity-research system prompt. The model produces a structured JSON response containing: verdict (bullish/bearish/neutral), summary, bull case, bear case, key metrics, recommendation, and news highlights. Every analysis is unique to the ticker and the moment it was computed. No templates.

## Security

Credentials never touch Helm's servers — brokerage linking goes through Plaid with the same security model used by Venmo, Robinhood, and Coinbase. Row-level security on all user data. No training of AI models on user portfolio data.
