Changes, Improvements, and Bugs (7/6-7/10)

Transparent overnight agentics, research in the tracking flow, fixes, and more.

What changed at Helm

Happy Friday! I’ve implemented a new change log for Helm that I’ll send out every Friday. If you wish to opt out, there’s a button for that at the bottom (No worries, it won’t hurt my feelings)

The biggest change this week:

Helm stopped keeping overnight work to itself. Open your "Daily Brief" and you'll find a "While you were away" section. A timestamped log of everything the agent did overnight. Filings and news re-read against your positions, risk and tax scans, items flagged for review, and if youe ver want one fresh, hit "Run a full sweep", and watch it work through your book live, step by step.

Research flows into tracking

Any ticker in the research or analyze tab and the agent meets you there. Holdings with no theses? One click to draft your reasoning. Already have a thesis? One click away. Just researching? One click to stress-test the buy. Added concentration from a position, what drivers you already lean on, and a bull or bear case matched to how the stock moved today.

Better refined theses drafts

Drafted theses pillars are now grounded in current analysis, each resting on a different market driver, and every pillar shows a transparent "Breaks if:", the spefific evidence that would falsify it. Confirming and tracking is one click now too.

The Ugly (Fixes, Bugs)

  • Social share images on /analyze pages had been quietly erroring due to one character in one line. Fixed immediately.
  • Portfolio Beta was improperly or never calculated due to a wrong column name dating to the origin of the feature.
  • Wash-sale detection queried a table it could never match against, runs flawlessly now.
  • Certain retirement accounts were being counted in TLH opportunities. They aren't, and Helm no longer pretends otherwise.
  • "Comparison" tickers (Which is the better buy?) no longer counts as evidence for or against theses.

If you're on a Pro trial

It runs for 2 weeks after your first Plaid connection. The fastest way to see the power of Helm's platform and agentics is to write or get drafted a reason why you own one of your positions and let Helm watch it for a week. If you haven't connected through Plaid yet, doing so automatically unlocks 2 weeks of Pro, free, no card, Read-only, always.

Enjoy your weekend!

Best,
